Alumno de Luca Giordano, conoci\u00f3 en Roma al marqu\u00e9s del Carpio, Gaspar M\u00e9ndez de Haro y Guzm\u00e1n, regresando m\u00e1s tarde a N\u00e1poles en 1683, cuando el marqu\u00e9s fue nombrado virrey de N\u00e1poles. En los siguientes a\u00f1os, tambi\u00e9n trabaj\u00f3 en Francia bajo la protecci\u00f3n de Luis XIV, despu\u00e9s en Calabria y en G\u00e9nova. Entre 1723 y 1725 trabaj\u00f3 en Roma para el Papa Inocencio XIII. Sus trabajos est\u00e1n dispersos en varias ciudades italianas y extranjeras, como N\u00e1poles, Par\u00eds, Madrid, G\u00e9nova, Lecce y en numerosas colecciones privadas americanas.
