The Exodus from Egypt and the Passion Week

Moses, before fleeing from Egypt, renewed the ritual of the lamb (with an invitation to mark the houses with his own blood, so that the Angel of Death “passed over” the houses of the Jews and hit only those of the Egyptians), the ceremony of the passage (with the crossing of the Red Sea and, more generally, the overcoming of the condition of slavery) and the tradition of eating unleavened bread (prepared by the Jews before the departure from Egypt). The Passion of the Christ, however, is set in the month of Nissan (March and April), precisely during Passover. Jesus, in fact, was arrested after having celebrated (the Last) Paschal Supper with the Apostles, which requires the consummation of unleavened bread.
