Research

Research in the field of cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, plays a much more important role today than in the past. Thanks to the information that can be obtained through all the traditional forms of research in the most diverse humanistic fields (arts, philosophy, religion, history, etc.), we are able to produce not only traditional scientific products, but also content that can be used by a wide audience and can be processed in digital format. The hybridisation of humanistic knowledge and the digital world gives rise to new opportunities for in-depth study, valorisation and dissemination of historical and cultural heritage.

The project aims to investigate the cultural policies of the Capuchin Friars, in the 17th and 18th centuries, starting from the analysis of the Order’s historical archives in central Italy.

Historical mapping test from GIS / Marseille pendant la Révolution française (1789-1792) : essai de cartographie historique à partir d’un système d’information géographique.

The project has two aims: the first is to virtually reconstruct Ferrante Gonzaga’s personal archive, the second is to create a user-friendly tool to facilitate consultation.

The research activity concerns the study in historical perspective of the presence of the main families of the Franciscan order (conventuals, minors, Capuchins) in Abruzzo.

The work presented here is articulated around two main objectives, one more properly scientific-academic, one of an industrial-applicative nature.

The project concerns the study of an important figure of the Italian and European Renaissance, such as Guido Ascanio Sforza (1518-1564).
