Patrimonio Culturale

In today’s world, the term ‘cultural heritage’ often takes on undefined contours.
The ‘right to cultural heritage’ recognises individual and collective responsibility for cultural heritage and emphasises the importance of its preservation and its role in building a peaceful and democratic society.
Hence both the value and potential of cultural heritage as a resource for sustainable development and quality of life, and the commitment to recognise its public interest and to value it.

Divulgazione

Dissemination in the field of historical and cultural heritage means aiming to disseminate, enhance and make known in an innovative way through digital tools to the widest possible public many aspects of history and culture that have enormous potential from the point of view of education, tourism and, more generally, peaceful coexistence between peoples and cultures.

Giochi

Why a ‘games’ section in a portal dedicated to digital history? The answer is very simple: because games are now considered an essential part of the communication tools with young people – and not only! – They can bring them closer to the knowledge of cultural and historical heritage in a fun and enjoyable way.

Ricerca

Research in the field of cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, plays a much more important role today than in the past. Thanks to the information that can be obtained through all the traditional forms of research in the most diverse humanistic fields (arts, philosophy, religion, history, etc.), we are able to produce not only traditional scientific products, but also content that can be used by a wide audience and can be processed in digital format. The hybridisation of humanistic knowledge and the digital world gives rise to new opportunities for in-depth study, valorisation and dissemination of historical and cultural heritage.

Web Innovation for Digital History and Culture Heritage

This innovative and interactive web-site stems from the experience of the PhD Program in Historical Studies at the University of Teramo and the University of Chieti-Pescara, which, thanks to a number of additional PON R&I grants (funded by European Union) won on the basis of a competitive call of the Italian Ministry of Universities and Research, has been carrying out a series of highly innovative research projects that combine the study of the past and cultural heritage with its exploitation for the general public through new digital tools.

Progetti in Evidenza

In accordance with European directives, the aim of our PhD Program in Historical Studies is to create researchers capable of dealing with a cultural market that is constantly changing and requires hybrid skills skills between the humanities and digital skills.
